In the middle of the Arnsberg Forest - between Warstein and Eversberg - stands the "Lörmecke Tower" at the highest point of the nature park (580 m above sea level).
In good weather, there is a magnificent panoramic view of the Hochsauerland region, across the Haarstrang mountain range and the Westphalian Bay to the Teutoburg Forest. The observation tower is located directly on the Sauerland Forest Route premium hiking trail.
The tower's architecture is interesting: its silhouette resembles a Warsteiner Pilsner glass and is made of crisscrossed round timbers from local Douglas fir stands. A steel spiral staircase inside the tower leads to two intermediate platforms and the final viewing platform. From Eversberg, there is a circular hike to the observation tower: the Lörmecke Tower Trail.
